You can cancel an order only if:
The seller hasn’t approved or started the order.
The order status is still Pending Approval.
🛑 Once the seller accepts and starts working, the Cancel Services option will no longer be available.
🔄 Steps to Cancel a Pending Order on Xp Freelancer
Here’s how to cancel an order quickly and easily:
Step 1: Log into Your Buyer Account
Go to https://www.xpfreelancer.com/account/orders and sign in to your account as a Buyer.
Step 2: Go to the ‘My Orders’ Section
Click on your profile icon at the top-right corner of the screen and navigate to:

This will display all your current and past orders.
Step 3: Find the Order You Want to Cancel
Locate the specific order that’s still marked as Pending Approval. Look for the three vertical dots (⋮) next to the order listing.
Step 4: Click on ‘Cancel Services’
Click the three-dot menu and select the ‘Cancel Services’ option.
A confirmation pop-up will appear—click Confirm to finalize the cancellation.
✅ What Happens After Cancellation?
The order will be immediately marked as Cancelled.
Your payment will be automatically refunded to your original payment method or account balance.
No need to wait for the seller to respond.
⚠️ Important Notes
Once the seller accepts and starts the project, you can no longer cancel it through your dashboard.
If you still need to cancel after approval, you’ll have to open a dispute or contact customer support.
Always double-check order details before confirming to avoid unwanted orders.
